From start to finish this movie doesn’t let you come up for air. At 163 minutes this is by far the longest Bond film, but it seems fitting as it draws the threads of the previous four films together and doesn’t overstay its welcome – much, although after the shock of Bond’s death the scenes following feel a little tacked on. Bought blu-ray version for my dad for Christmas and it didn’t work, sent out a replacement and that also didn’t work.

Spectre agents have already primed the tomb years ago with explosives for just such a visit, and there begins one of the very best pre-title sequences of this 25 film series as Bond manages to stagger away from the explosion, take out any number of chasing stooges and furiously shove his new wife, who he believes betrayed him into the classic Aston Martin DB5 and make good an escape from the Spectre agents. It’s unusual not to have a villain driven by the acquisition of wealth or power for power’s sake, and here Safin’s role is almost God-like, choosing who gets to live and who dies to his own, almost Aryan selection process.

It’ll knock your socks off - Enjoy! If it was blended into a smoothie it’d be a shaken, not stirred, 90% proof blinder. It’s non stop, emotive, compelling, poignant, tragic, heartwarming, heartbreaking, fun filled movie magic. Along the way we have other surprises – Bond had gone missing from MI6 for five years, assumed dead and there’s a new 007 – Nomi, played by Lashana Lynch and the first female ‘00’ agent; and the return of Bond’s great friend and ally CIA agent Felix Leiter, played by Jeffery Wright and missing for a couple of films but brought back very satisfactorily to close a story arc – if nothing else this film gives a sense of completion to the various threads that have been spun through Craig’s tenure as Bond.

Haven't seen the 4K yet but I am sure it will look great. Ordering DVD version so fingers crossed that works! This is a worthy Bond film, perhaps not the very best but deeply satisfying nonetheless - although you'll need a good knowledge of Craig's previous four Bond outings to get the very best from it. Of course Safin has his own island as a base and it resembles for all the world an old power station, right down to the internals of cooling towers, industrial handrails and 1960’s control cabinets, but exotic enough to play the part of a terrorist lair.

NO SPOILERS! We’ve waited nearly two years for Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond so how the plot wasn’t revealed prior to release is a small miracle.

Fast Delivery, Reasonable Price, Good Product and Checked OK Visually it is sumptuous, beautifully shot, great action sequences as you would expect, and with a tinge of sadness that Daniel Craig has walked away from a role which to my mind he has owned and developed into the second best Bond after Sean Connery, the definitive Bond. the new bond film is just wowRami Malek as Safin is oh my daysthe film of the new bond film does not start with bond doing something but it starts of with the villian doing something which makes it more interesting Its a near mint product.

That plot is unusually prescient because it involves a virus able to be targeted at individuals or their relatives thanks to the use of nanobots, or more widely at ethnic groups – truly the conspiracy theorists that have been all over Covid-19 and its supposed development in Wuhan and the inoculation injections will have a field day drawing parallels. “James Bond will return” it states at the end – short of a miraculous escape this must clearly be set in a different universe or rewind time, much like Craig’s version did with Casino Royale, pretty much a reboot thanks to the pressures of the Bourne franchise.
